Coastal Attends the Douglas County Fair

We’d always heard that the Douglas County Fair was one of the best around. We sent our cameras down to Roseburg, Oregon to try fair food, take in the sights, and enjoy what has been called the Best County Fair on Earth.

What We Found

The pictures speak for themselves. We tried a lot of food (caramel apples, scones, pizza, giant corn dogs, kettle corn, corn on the cob, chrefy fries, and ice cream from Umpqua Dairy), won some prizes, tried a few rides, checked out the prize-winning animals and crafts, and took in a show or two. Another great day at another great fair.

The Douglas County Fair took place from August 9-12 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Complex in Roseburg. Mark your calendar for next year and be sure to attend this fun, family-friendly event. You can get there from I-5 by taking exit 123. It’s just east of the interstate.
