Cheese Stuffed Smoked Hamburgers
May 10, 2018The hamburger is an American staple, but we can make it even better with some smoky goodness and a slice of cheese. All you need is a handful of ingredients, your Smokehouse Little Chief Front Load Electric Smoker, along with your standard grill, and you’ll turn this classic into something extraordinary the whole family will love. You’ll find a list of ingredients and directions below this week’s “how to” video.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. ground beef
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 6 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 6 large hamburger buns
- Smoker chips of your choice
- Hamburger toppings
Directions
Mix your ground beef, soup mix, and pepper together. Then form 12 equal-sized meatballs.
Next, flatten those balls into patties and place them on separate racks in your Smokehouse Little Chief Front Load Electric Smoker. Place chips of your choice in the smoker pan and smoke for 30 minutes. Remove the patties.
To add the cheese, just place a slice between two meat patties and crimp the edges of the meat together. Now, place on your grill until the cheese is melted and the hamburgers are done to your liking.
Finally, place each masterpiece onto its own bun and pile it high with toppings, including some of your homemade onion marmalade.
